Eigth Wonder of the World

This morning enjoy unparalleled views from the brand new glass roof coach as you make your way to Milford Sounds. You will travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and into the farmland before Lake Te Anau. You then travel into Fiordland National Park, where you enter the picturesque Eglinton Valley. Cross the main Divide of the Southern Alps with stunning mountain peaks all around. Stop at Monkey Creek and sample some purest water in the world, but watch out for our mountain parrot the Cheeky Kea. Drive through the Homer Tunnel which is 1.2km passageway drilled into solid rock. Once you get to Milford Sounds board your catamaran for your cruise to see the eighth wonder of the world. Glide past glacie scarred rock walls, waterfalls that tumble into the sea, lush native forest clings to steep cliffs, while wildlife including seals, penguins and dolphins are regular visitors to the icy waters. Mountain ranges surround the fiord, including Mitre Peak which rises dramatically to a height of 1,692 metres above sea level. The catamaran has three viewing decks (both indoor and outdoor) for taking amazing pictures, plus you get a Pita Pit lunch which is included. Once the catamaran gets back to port after your 105 minute cruise, you will travel back to Queenstown.
