Wonders of Our Great Lake

Today you will travel into the Taupo Region. There you will see New Zealand's largest lake, Lake Taupo which is the second largest freshwater lake in the Oceania Region of the world. The size of the lake is 616 square kilometres (238 sq miles) and is in the caldera of the Taupo Volcano.

The primary outflow of Lake Taupo is the Waikato River that is where you will find Huka Falls. There you will go for a ride on a jet boat for fun and excitement as you travel up to an incredible speed of 80 km an hour. Along the way do some 360 degree spins which leave you with a beaming smile and a heart pumping with adrenaline. And that's even before reaching the spectacular Huka Falls. From your unique vantage point on the jet boat you will have the best water level view of the Huka Falls.

Next we visit Crates of the Moon geothermal walkway wanders through a weird, other-world, landscape featuring bubbling craters and steaming vents.

Afterwards we will head back to you accommodation.
